Powers & Duties
The board approves the practices, procedures and rules of the Northeast Tarrant Teen Court. In addition to quarterly board meetings, board members participate actively in each Teen Court session to monitor and motivate teen jurors. In some instances, board members may also help the teen clerks with paperwork for the defendants after the trial is complete. Teen Court sessions are typically held on the first, second and third Monday evening of each month. The schedule may change depending on the school calendar. Overall, Teen Court Advisory Board members each contribute around 6 to 8 hours per month to the Northeast Tarrant Teen Court program.
