Citizen's Police Academy
The slogan of the Citizen's Police Academy is "Understanding through Education." This program is designed to provide the citizens of North Richland Hills with first-hand information about their Police Department. Throughout the academy, participants are encouraged to ask questions and discuss topics with department personnel. Our intent is to acquaint citizens with law enforcement's role in the criminal justice system and provide increased understanding of the tasks police officers face in their daily work.

To participate in the Citizen's Police Academy you must meet the following qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Live or work in the City of North Richland Hills
- Must not miss more than 10% of the program
- Pass a background check
The North Richland Hills Police Department offers two Citizen's Police Academy classes per year. The next CPA will be held February 4 – April 28, 2016 meeting on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Availability is limited to 25 participants. You will receive a letter notifying you of your acceptance prior to the beginning of the classes.
