NEW!!! Lateral Pay for Experienced Officers
The North Richland Hills Police Department now offers a Lateral Entry Officer with Certification
Program. These officers start at a lateral pay commensurate with their experience,
which may expand up to the midpoint of the pay range. Lateral entry
officers must complete the department's abbreviated Field Training Program. After completion of
FTO training, these officers are eligible to work in an off-duty capacity.

P.A.C.T. is the testing device that is used to establish a list of qualified
applicants. The four participating cities of P.A.C.T., Euless, Hurst, Southlake, and
North Richland Hills, have joined forces in an attempt to recruit the most
qualified police officer applicants. This combined testing provides one test
with multiple opportunities for these departments located in the northeastern
quadrant of Tarrant County.
