    The North Richland Hills Public Library is pleased to offer AARP Tax-Aide, a free service to help taxpayers of any age file their personal income tax returns. Trained AARP volunteers will assist in electronic filing of the 1040 tax form and basic schedules. This service will be offered at the Library between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. each Monday and Thursday from February 2 through April 16. An appointment is required. To schedule an appointment, please stop by the Library or call the Reference Department at 817-427-6814.

  2. Spring in the Garden Seminar

    Winter is almost over and Spring is around the corner. Got questions about your landscape? Attend this free seminar on February 25 to learn what you need to be doing to get ready for Spring. This seminar is hosted by Geoff Sherman, the city’s Landscape Horticulturist/Certified Arborist, with guest speakers Steve Chaney and Sarah Hanson. Mr. Chaney is a Tarrant County Extension Agent. He coordinates a 400-member group of Master Gardeners, advises the Cross Timbers Master Naturalists and the Tarrant County Master Composters, and oversees the county’s Junior Master Gardener program projects. He is also coordinator for the Earth-Kind Program. Ms. Hanson is a nutritionist and is working to obtain her Registered Dietician license. She has a passion for enriching the community by promoting health, wellness, and physical activity. She loves the mission of the Common Ground Community Garden and is very happy to be a part of the garden.

  3. Annual Bunny & Bear Drive

    February 27, 8:00 AM

    The 12th Annual Bunny & Bear Drive benefiting Cook-Fort Worth Children's Medical Center will take place February 27 through March 8. You can help by donating a new stuffed bunny or bear for the annual drive! Donations can be dropped off in the lobby at City Hall, 7301 NE Loop 820; the NRH Recreation Center, 6720 NE Loop 820; and the NRH Public Library, 9015 Grand Ave. The bunnies and bears will be delivered to children who are in the hospital on the afternoon of March 9.

    City Hall

    The North Richland Hills City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. A work session may be held prior to the start of the regular meeting.

    Regular City Council Meetings are broadcast live on the city’s website, Charter Cable Channel 27 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. Meeting videos are also archived on the city’s website and available to watch on demand at your convenience.

  1. Citizens Police Academy

    The Citizens Police Academy (CPA) provides citizens with firsthand information about their Police Department. During this 12 week course, participants learn about patrol procedures, dispatch operations, SWAT operations and crime scene search, as well as many other law enforcement subjects. CPA is open to NRH residents and those who work in North Richland Hills. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited and advanced registration is required.

Teen Court

  1. Teen Court

    February 27, 6:00 PM @ 6720 NE Loop 820

    Teen Court is held in the courtroom at the North Richland Hills Municipal Court. Teen Court is typically held the first three Mondays of every month, however the schedule is subject to change. Please check back for continued updates. No children Under 10 years old allowed in the court while Teen Court is in session.
